Welcome to the Glenmore Homestead website

Glenmore Homestead is a historic homestead located on the banks of the Fitzroy River just north of Rockhampton. Up until 1980 the old homestead was the Birkbeck family home.

George and Judy Birkbeck are fourth generation family living at the homestead, today they operate the homestead as a function area for a range of different celebrations.  The atmosphere is in keeping with the Australian pioneering way of life.

Glenmore Homestead is renowned as a complete original pioneer homestead complex. The Homestead is the Winner of the John Herbert award for excellence in heritage preservation awarded by the Queensland National Trust.

Glenmore Homestead is equipped to handle any function with Queenslands first historic Inn licence.
